What’s new for Vox – 6.27.16

Thank you to all who attended our recent performances!

On June 10th we sang at Ferndale Congregational to honor the lives of two Windward students whose lives were taken from us too soon. One of our members, Evan, was their teacher, and the event was emotional for all of us. Donations went to support the Humane Society where one of the students had worked. Our thanks to the families and community impacted by the tragedy for letting us share some music and try in a small way to bring some healing to all those affected.

On June 26th we took a day trip to Lummi Island, enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the local café and then sang at Lummi Congregational as part of the summer performance series there. It was such a beautiful day, and the sound in the church was amazingly resonant – it was really a privilege to sing in that space.

Now Vox Antiqua is on a short hiatus – the singers will enjoy their summers and meet again as winter draws near, for our special series of advent concerts. Stay tuned!
